The Company is responsible for five Schools. Tonbridge School is an independent school; Judd school at Tonbridge and Skinners School at Tunbridge Wells are voluntary aided grammar schools. The Skinners' Company's School for Girls at Hackney is a voluntary aided comprehensive; and the Skinners Kent Academy, Tunbridge Wells opened on the 1st of September this year as an Academy. Its new buildings will open in 2012.
The Skinners Companys Girls School at Hackney closes at the end of this academic year 2010 and the Skinners Academy in Hackney will open on the 1st of September 2010.
The schools are supported by the Company in a variety of ways, including the services of its Education Officer, and from its charities.
The Company also provides training opportunities for its governors and plays a wider role in education through the activities of its Education Committee.
